Perspective

Last night I was grumpy for a variety of reasons, so when my wife puffed out her tummy and groaned I said, “if that bothers you then I can only imagine how big a pain in the ass you’ll be come the third trimester.” That didn’t go over well. But after some quiet time alone and some quality time together, things were on the up and up. She said that we’ve never done this before, so it’s easy to get focused on just on the pregnancy and forget that we’re adults with needs too.

I resolved to keep that in mind in the coming weeks, months, years.
